2015年7月24日，一家日本公司Godo Kaisha IP Bridge 1（下文简称IP Bridge）在美国特拉华地区法院发起对TCL通信技术公司的专利侵权诉讼。IP Bridge是日本政府出资成立的知识产权管理公司。诉讼涉及的产品主要包括TCL Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3, TCL Alcatel OneTouch Evolve 2, TCL Alcatel OneTouch Pop Astro and TCL Alcatel OneTouch Pop C9。

诉状中称涉诉的三件专利均为用于移动通信的全球标准，包括W-CDMA，LTE技术的相关标准专利。这些技术用于包含W-CDMA，LTE技术的移动电话和平板。TCL的移动电话和平板侵犯了IP Bridge的专利。在诉前，IP Bridge已经给TCL发过4次电子邮件，阐明事由，希望TCL能够何其讨论专利授权事宜，但没有得到TCL的响应。
IP Bridge公司的主要业务内容包括，取得知识产权并进行管理运用与提供授权，提供企业知识产权运用相关咨询服务等。IP Bridge的知识产权基金设立的目的是集结日本企业所拥有的未灵活使用的专利形成专利组合并进行运用，从而支持日本其他新创事业、提供授权来换取收益、进行诉讼防卫等。
目前，该起诉讼还在进行中，让我们拭目以待诉讼的后续进展。
